CODE OF ETHICS AND CONDUCT

Importance

We firmly believe in the value and importance of an environment where all Alliances community members feel welcome and safe. This Code of Conduct explains what type of behaviour we expect from community members interacting at live chapters, across Alliances digital platforms including WhatsApp groups, website interaction and conference calls.  The purpose of the Alliance Chapters and activities, both live and virtual, and community engagement across social media forums is to foster technical and professional education and encourage community discussion and debate in a trusted environment. The terms of this Code of Conduct are non-negotiable. We will not tolerate behaviour that runs counter to this Code of Conduct.

Behaviour, Scope & Consequences

Alliance Chapters Live

Behaviour

  1. You will behave in a way as to create a safe and supportive environment for all chapter participants.
  2. You will engage in speech aligned with the theme and topics of the chapter. There is no room for one way gain at an Alliance Chapter, to get out you must put in by sharing your perspective and opinions.
  3. You will not quote or reference any comments made outside of the Alliance activity.
  4. You will not engage in any form of harassing, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening speech or behaviour, including (but not limited to) relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or other protected category.
  5. You will comply with the instructions of chapter and venue staff.
  6. You will comply with all applicable laws.

Scope

We expect all chapter participants (including AMG employees, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, and guests) to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers the main chapter and all related chapters (social or otherwise). AMG employees attending chapters must continue to abide by all company policies at all times.

Consequences

If we believe that you are not complying with this Code of Conduct, we may deny you entry or require you to leave all chapter venue(s). You may also be banned from future live and virtual chapter participation, and from engaging across AMG blogs, online forums, and social media channels. All determinations are at our sole discretion. We will involve local law enforcement if we deem appropriate.

If we deny you entry or require you leave, you will not be eligible to receive a refund of any fees paid to us related to the chapter or related chapters. Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in future live and virtual chapters.

Alliances Virtual Chapters

Behaviour

  1. You will behave in a way as to create a safe and supportive environment for all AMG virtual chapter (webinar, live streams, WhatsApp and other Chat Groups etc.) participants (including AMG employees, moderators, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers).
  2. You will not engage in disruptive speech or behaviour or otherwise interfere with the virtual chapter or other individuals’ participation in the chapter.
  3. You will not quote or reference any comments made outside of the Alliance activity.
  4. You will not engage in any form of harassing, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening speech or behaviour, including (but not limited to) relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or other protected category.
  5. You will comply with the instructions of the moderator and any AMG virtual chapter staff.
  6. You will comply with all applicable laws.

Scope

We expect all virtual chapter participants (including AMG employees, moderators, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers) to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers the main virtual chapter and all related chapters (social or otherwise). Amazon employees participating in virtual chapters must continue to abide by all company policies at all times.

Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in future live and virtual chapters and from engagement across AMG blogs, online forums, and social media channels.

AMG Blogs, Online Forums, Social Media

Behaviour

  1. You will behave in a way as to create a safe and supportive environment – both amongst AMG community members, and between non-AMG community members and the AMG community –across AMG blogs, online forums, and social media channels.
  2. You will not engage in any form of harassing, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening speech or behaviour, including (but not limited to) relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or other protected category.
  3. You will comply with all applicable laws.

Scope

The AMG community is guided with a “common sense” attitude across all media channels, which include but are not limited to AMG blogs, online forums, and social media channels. We expect that all interactions – both amongst AMG community members, and between non-AMG community members and the AMG community – uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct.

As a neutral and agnostic entity to business decision making, we expect the communities who work on building and attend the Alliances to utilise the opportunity to learn about how
