Session Title: PAM as foundational security for business transformation

    Session Synopsis:

As businesses constantly evolve and grow, so does an organization’s attack surface. As you all know, cybercriminals have got smarter about who they attack and how and unfortunately this increase in sophistication has coincided with the enforced acceleration of digital transformation brought about by COVID. As you will all be only too aware, the pace and velocity of that technology transformation has created a difficult environment for security teams – your attack surface is bigger, your digital processes have become more numerous and complex – and so defending against complex threats has become a whole lot harder.

A key element of your defences is a robust Privileged Access Management (PAM) programme. Although often regarded as basic, privilege visibility and management is still a key issue for many organisations. However, it is a critical enabler of digital transformation, and is one of the most effective ways to stop lateral movement by threat actors.

So during this session, we hope you will share your experiences of your transformation challenges with your peers, give each other an insight into how you currently manage privileged access and how you see that changing in the future, and, as we always try to do in these panels, examine where theory and practice actually meet in the real world.

    Covered key topics will include:

    • – What digital transformation is and why we should care about it
    • – Why automation isn’t just for the business
    • – How security teams can help not hinder new business initiatives
    • – How to mitigate identity risk with PAM
